Big Machines, Big Smiles: Finmec Family Day 2024

Big Machines, Big Smiles: Finmec Family Day 2024

Family Day Fun in the Sun

Despite the scorching 40-degree heat, nothing could stop the overwhelming turnout at our first-ever Finmec Family Day! We were absolutely blown away by the number of people who came along to celebrate with us—an estimated 350-400 attendees joined in on the fun.

The highlight of the day? Seeing the pure excitement on the kids’ faces as they got up close with our big machines. Watching them climb aboard, explore, and experience the sheer size of our equipment was priceless. Some even came dressed in their own hi-vis gear and boots, which has inspired us to introduce a “Best Dressed” competition for next year!

Of course, no event is complete without great food and entertainment. From a classic sausage sizzle to refreshing drinks, ice cream, and face painting courtesy of @LittleLoves, the atmosphere was buzzing. A special shoutout to @brewsnscoops for keeping everyone cool with delicious ice cream—perfect for a day like this!

An Unforgettable Day: Food, Fun, and Community at Our Event

A huge thank you goes out to our incredible Finmec team. Pulling off an event like this takes a massive effort, from safety preparations and setup to ensuring the workshop areas were family-friendly and, of course, the post-event cleanup. We appreciate everything you did to make this day such a success.

And to the amazing Hedland community—thank you for your support! We’re already looking ahead to next year’s event, which we’ll be making even bigger and better (and scheduling in the cooler months!).

We couldn’t have done it without you, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
